The photograph above shows BMW's valve cover protectors for the 2004 and later R1150RT, R1150R, R1150RS, R1150GS, and R1100S. The change to a two-sparkplug head necessitated a redesign of the original protectors (below).

The photographs above show BMW's valve cover protectors for the 2002-2003 R1150RT top, R1100RT (above), and R1150GS (below) motorcycles. The same protector fits the R1100GS, R1100S, and R1100RS. It has saved my GS's valve covers on more than one occasion.
